Type (lectotype, designated here):— CAMBODIA. Pursat: May 1870, Pierre 817 (P! [ P06605441 ]; isolectotype P! [ P06605445 ]) .
Pierre (1888) cited the specimen Pierre 817 as type of Columbia angusta , without specifying the reference herbarium. Analysing the herbaria where Pierre’s collection is kept ( Stafleu & Cowan 1976 –1988: 259), two duplicates of Pierre 817 were found in P. For this reason, in accordance with Art. 9.3 of the ICN, is designate here the specimen P06605441 as the lectotype of Colona angusta , by choosing the most preserved specimen.
