Distribution: India (Assam), Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam.

Rondon &Breuning (1970) recordedLaotian specimensas “ Celosterna pollinosa sulphurea ”, originating several misidentifications in subsequent publications ( Choldumrongkul, 2006; Hoang et al., 2011; Welch et al., 2012; Van Hooijdonk et al., 2013; Thongphak & Khongthawie, 2014; Mara et al., 2022) and even on the international market of insects for sale.
