Stems simple, rarely sparingly branched from the middle, narrowly winged or angled. Leaves linear-lanceolate, entire, acute, erect, glabrous, green; lower long-petiolate. Involucre c. 15 mm in diameter, ovoid; appendages with decurrent margin c. 1 mm wide, dark brown; fimbriae twice as long as the width of the margin, pale brown. Pappus 1-1*5 mm. • S.W.
