Perennial. Rhizome stout, with few branches. Stems 15-30 cm, glabrous or hairy below. Basal leaves cordate, serrate to crenate, absent at anthesis; cauline ovate to narrowly lanceolate or linear, crenate to entire. Inflorescence few-flowered. Buds erect. Ovary papillose.
