Callithrix (Mico) intermedia Hershkovitz 1977 , Living New World Monkeys: 1020.
Type Locality: Brazil, Amazonas, near mouth of Rio Guariba, left bank of Rio Aripuanã.
Vernacular Names: Hershkovitz's Marmoset.
Distribution: Interfluvium of the Rios Aripuanã and Roosevelt ( Brazil).
Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Least Concern as Mico intermedius .
Discussion: Subgenus Mico . Recognized as a full species by de Vivo (1991).
