Remarks

Type series consisting of 81 specimens from various localities in the French departments of Ariège and Haute-Garonne, and from the Val d’Aran (Lleida province, Spain) ( Fresneda & Fery, 2009). Most specimens from the Val d’Aran are in the MCNB collection and were previously referred to (see Fresneda & Fery, 2009) and identified on their labels as Bathysciola schiodtei (Kiesenwetter, 1850) . Specimens from the type series deposited in other collections ( Fresneda & Fery, 2009; Fresneda & Salgado, 2016): holotype in the FLC; paratypes in AFC, CVC, FLC, HFC, IBE, MPC and ZSM.
