omissum Schulze, 1932 , Aponomma
Schulze, P. (1932) Neue und wenig bekannte Arten der Zeckengattungen Amblyomma und Aponomma . Zeitschrift für Parasitenkunde, 4, 459–476.
Type depository: ZMB?: holotype (male)
Type locality: “Berliner Aquarium,” Germany
Type host: Coluber corrais
Current status: a name incertae sedis ( Guglielmone & Nava 2014, Guglielmone et al. 2017).
Comments: Schulze (1932b) stated that the holotype would be transferred to the ZMB, but no specimen of Aponomma omissum is listed in the ZMB type catalog by Moritz & Fischer (1981). Schulze (1932b) also indicated that the type host was infested in America, but this is unproven ( Guglielmone et al. 2017).
