( Figs 6a–h View FIGURE 6 , holotype)
Amegilla (Glossamegilla) hainanensis Wu, 2000: 295 View in CoL , ♀ [♂]. Syn. nov.
Holotype: [♂], Ḟ东, ẚ南, 保亭, 80 ȓƃ [Guangdong, Hainan, Baotin, 80 m, now Hainan Province, Baotin, 80 m, 18°38'N 109°42'E] // 1960.V.16, īåx: 张Ťô [16.V.1960, leg. Xue-Zhong Zhang] // HOLOTYPE <red label> // Amegilla (Glossamegilla) hainanensis , ǎîx: Dzě如 [det. Yan-Ru Wu] // IOZ (E)205493 <blue label> // Amegilla (Glossamegilla) hainanensis Wu, 2000 , det. P. Rasmont, 2019.
Current status: Amegilla (Glossamegilla) himalajensis ( Radoszkowski, 1882) View in CoL
Remark: The taxon was described from females by Yan-Ru Wu ( Wu, 2000: 295) without a sex symbol on the label, but the holotype is actually a male. This taxon appears identical to A. (Glossamegilla) himalajensis ( Radoszkowski, 1882) , with the exception that hainanensis body length (13 mm) is smaller than in A. himalajensis (16–18 mm) and that apex and both side of T3 are covered with yellow hair, not all black hair. These small colour differences fall into the species variation as discussed by Lieftinck (1956).
Distribution: China (Hainan): India, Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Burma.
