Schulze, P. (1936) Neue und wenig bekannte Amblyommen und Aponommen aus Afrika, Südamerika, Indien, Borneo und Australien. ( Ixodidae ). Zeitschrift für Parasitenkunde, 8, 619–637.
Type depository: ZMB?: holotype (male) in the original description ; USNTC: holotype? (unspecified developmental stage) ( Keirans & Clifford 1984)
Type locality: Borneo
Type host: Sus verrucosus
Current status: a synonym of Amblyomma testudinarium ( Anastos 1950, Camicas et al. 1998).
Comments: Moritz & Fischer (1981) did not recognize the presence of a type specimen held in the ZMB, while Keirans & Clifford (1984) named as “ type ” the specimen deposited in the USNTC, under the name Amblyomma borneense infestum (a lapsus).
