TYPE SPECIMEN. — Lectotype male no. 11 117 designated by Watson (1971: 44) (USNM).

Strand has described an infrasubspecific names associated with this taxon:

Pericallia hodeva ab. postalalis Strand, 1919: 262. — Type locality: [ Mexico]. — Type specimens: Undisclosed number of male syntypes (?).
