Plant caespitose. Leaves simple, entire. Calcicole. Appennini.

Plants similar to 5(b) but with brown hairs on the peduncles have been called Ptarmica Iaggeri Schultz Bip. ex Ascherson , Festschr. Ges. Naturf. Freunde Berlin 245 (1873). They are probably hybrids between 6 and 9.
