        <spm:hasContent> MATÉRIEL EXAMINÉ. —  Nimba: Ziéla, U. V.,  30.III.1957. Cet Élatéride se place près d’  Elasmosomus mirificusCandèze, 1895, qui est du Togoet qui paraît commun dans une assez grande partie de l’Afrique occidentale. Il s’en distingue notamment par son habitus plus robuste, sa taille plus grande et la couleur du corps qui est entièrement d’un brun sombre; de plus, le pronotum est plus convexe et ses côtés sont nettement, quoique faiblement arqués.</spm:hasContent>

        <spm:hasContent> DISTRIBUTION. — La distribution géographique de l’  Elasmosomus brunneiventrisSchwarzest encore peu connue, mais il semble répandu dans une grande partie de l’Afriqueintertropicale. Lespremiers exemplaires proviennent du Cameroun et, depuis, il a été trouvé plusieurs fois au Togoet en Guinée. C’est assurément une espèce forestière, mais il est encore difficile de préciser le typede biotope qu’il affectionne car sa faible taille et son aspect étroit font qu’il doit s’y cacher très facilement.</spm:hasContent>
