Tribe DUNDUBIINI Distant, 1905 View in CoL
Diagnosis
Lateral pronotal collar usually dentate. Wings hyaline. Timbal covers well developed, with the exception of Sinosemia Matsumura, 1927 stat. rev., which has narrowed timbal covers widely exposing timbals medially. Male abdominal sternites translucent if not coated with dark-coloured pigmentation (as also seen in sister tribes like Cicadini Batsch, 1789 , Leptopsaltriini Moulton, 1923 and Psithyristriini Distant 1905 ). Male abdominal sternites without bumps or tubercle-like projections. Uncus usually bifurcate, but in a few cases, fused and developed to a large uncus covering ventral side of pygofer. Aedeagus thin. Basal lobe of pygofer absent or indistinct, with a few exceptions in Biura , Songga and Cantata . See also Lee and Emery (2014) and Pham and Lee (2021) for the tribal diagnosis.
