Material. Karlovac: Modruš : Richtung Senj Strasse (“ Insektenzoo ”), 05.06.2022, 1 ♀ (Kovac leg.) ( SMNF).

Remarks. Larvae infest flower heads of Leontodon hispidus (Asteraceae) ( Merz, 1994). Tephritis fallax can be easily recognized from closely related species with similar wing patterns by its black setulose abdominal tergites ( fig. 3 View Fig , e).
