Literature records
Khalaf and Al-Omar (1974).
Remarks
We have examined no specimens of this species from Iraq. Khalaf and Al-Omar (1974) recorded a single specimen collected in Baghdad under the name Odynerus aurantiacus Mocsary , currently regarded as a synonym. Pseudepipona augusta is known to range from eastern Europe to Central Asia and China, with the southernmost records in Hungary, Ukraine and southern Russia, making its occurrence in central Iraq implausible.
