Type material. Holotype: Z.PAL. U.W. BkK-G1227, SL: 25.0 mm, MD: 14.0 mm, Korytnica ( Poland), illustrated in Bałuk (2006: pl. 12, fig. 1), Figs 26A View FIGURE 26 1 –A View FIGURE 1 2 View FIGURE 2 .

Revised description. Medium-sized, moderately slender fusiform, trivaricate shell; apical angle ~60°. Protoconch unknown. Teleoconch of up to four whorls. Suture moderately incised; strongly undulating. Early teleoconch whorls worn; with weakly concave subsutural ramp, angled shoulder placed slightly above mid-whorl, weakly constricted below. Axial sculpture of eight broad varices; spiral sculpture worn. Last whorl attaining 75% of total height; with broad subsutural collar, concave subsutural ramp, angled shoulder, conical below. Axial sculpture of three prominent, foliaceous varices and three weaker intervarical ribs. Axial ribs weak over subsutural ramp. Spiral sculpture of prominent adis, IP, abis on subsutural ramp; P1–P6 forming prominent, broad, rounded cords; P1 forming blunt tubercles along shoulder; s1–s6 much weaker, strengthening towards aperture. Fasciole moderately swollen, delimiting broad, deep pseudoumbilicus. Aperture narrowly ovate. Outer lip strongly thickened by terminal varix; with crenulate margin, weak ID, prominent D2–D5; D1 missing. Anal canal moderately incised. Siphonal canal moderately short, straight, narrow, fused. Columella straight, smooth, twisted at siphonal canal. Columellar callus forming broad, sharply delimited rim, erect at pseudoumbilicus, adherent in parietal region.

Discussion. This species was placed in the Ergalataxinae genus Morula Schumacher, 1817 by Bałuk (1995, 2006) and in Habromorula Houart, 1995 by Goret & Pons (2013). The trivaricate shell, the sealed siphonal canal and the prominent, foliaceous varices exclude a relationship with Ergalataxinae but suggest placement in Ocenebrinae (see Houart 1995, 2002 for reviews of Morula and Habromorula repectively).

Paleoenvironment. Unknown.

Distribution in Central Paratethys. Badenian (Middle Miocene): Korytnica Basin: Korytnica ( Bałuk 1995).

Proto-Mediterranean Sea. Langhian (Middle Miocene): Le Houga (Gers) ( France) ( Goret & Pons 2013).
