Ocinebrinopsis dominicii Group
Discussion. We unite here species with regular sculpture of subequal primary cords and slightly weaker, recessed, subequal secondary cords. All species have a deep pseudoumbilicus, a crenulate outer lip edge with short lirae within, and an open siphonal canal. All species have scabrose sculpture on the adapical part of the subsutural ramp. Within the Paratethyan assemblages, Ocinebrinopsis aperta sp. nov. and Ocinebrinopsis dominicii sp. nov. are placed in this group, suggesting a stratigraphic range in the Paratethys Sea from the Karpatian (Early Miocene) to the Badenian (Middle Miocene). They differ from the Ocinebrinopsis credneri Group in their more regularly disposed primary and secondary cords and in their open rather than fused canal, and their even deeper pseudoumbilicus.
