The species is probably more widespread throughout the country in agricultural and ruderal habitats, in continuation of its ample distribution range in mainland Greece ( Strid 2024: 581, map 2322). It is a Eurosiberian species, introduced into North America, known under the misapplied name “ Chenopodium strictum ” in the past (for taxonomic and nomenclatural implications see Mosyakin 2017a; Mosyakin & Mandák 2020).
