Type material. Holotype: male, 3.8 mm, MZUSP 11510 View Materials . Paratypes: 18 specimens, MZUSP 11511 View Materials ; 16 specimens, MNRJ 3230 View Materials ; 3 specimens, MNRJ 3231 View Materials .
Typelocality. Ubatuba continental shelf, Sta. 4856
(24°13’S 44°45’W), 110 m depth, SP, Brazil .
Geographic distribution. Brazil (SP) ( Pires, 1996;
Pires-Vanin, 1998).
Habitat. Hard and sandy bottoms on continental shelf and upper slope, between 20–320 m depth ( Pires, 1996; Pires-Vanin, 1998).
Current systematic position. Gnathia ubatuba Pires,
1996.
