I also want to remark that the genus Neopinophilus Cameron, 1920 from the Oriental region looks very similar. This genus is well redescribed by ASSING (2022). The gular sutures are more widely separated with Neopinophilus (variable with Pinophilinus ), and the basal part of the aedeagus is longer.
