Seventeen rodents were determined in the Beremend 14 fossil assemblage, which can be classified into 7 families ( Sciuridae , Gliridae , Eomyidae , Dipodidae , Spalacidae , Cricetidae and Muridae ) ( Table 4 View Table 4 ). Most of the species (mainly voles) belong to family Cricetidae , whereas the other families include only 1–2 species.
