Original rank: subspecies of S. copeiana Wood, 1862 . Current rank and status: synonym of S. polymorpha Wood, 1861 ( Kraepelin 1903; Attems 1930; Bücherl 1939, 1942 a; Shelley 2002).

Remarks: This name was omitted by Bücherl (1974).
