Holotype ( ZMUH [ Weidner 1960], examined); type locality: Montevideo, Uruguay .
Original rank: species. Current rank and status: synonym of Hemiscolopendra laevigata ( Porat, 1876) ( Kraepelin 1903; Attems 1930; Bücherl 1939, 1942 a); I confirm the assignment of cormocephalina to Hemiscolopendra Kraepelin, 1903 .
Remarks : This species was redescribed as new by Kohlrausch (1879, 1881) and was omitted by Bücherl (1974).
