2024. Chrysis fuscipennis Brullé : Chrysis fuscipennis or Chrysis angolensis ? An answer with new synonymies, a new combination and species resurrected ( Hymenoptera , Chrysididae ). Journal of Entomological and Acarological Research, 56 (1), p.7

Female: Body length 10.2 mm. Forewing length 6.7 mm. OOL 1.6 x MOD; POL 2.2 x MOD; MS 0.8 x MOD; relative length of P: F1: F2: F3= 1.0:1.7:1.3:1.0

Head: Frons and vertex with medium-sized punctures with 0.4 x MOD diameter. TFC encircling mid ocellus with two branches extending downwards from the base ( Figure 1C View Figure 1 ). A depression below the median ocellus. The Scapal basin is rugulose with silvery-white vestiture. Dense white vestiture along the sides of the eye and in malar space. The apical margin of the clypeus incurved and thickened. Sharp genal carina and sub-genal carina present.

Mesosoma ( Figure 1A View Figure 1 ): Medial pronotal line shallow. Pronotal carina present. Pronotum and mesoscutum with uniform punctures. Notauli as lines of small, deep, rectangular foveae with dark blue colour. Parapsidal signum present. Mesoscutellum with large irregular double punctures medially with small punctures in interspaces. Metanotum with deep large punctures. Rs not reaching wing margin. Metatarsomere I longer than II-IV together. V as long as III and IV together. Scrobal sulcus formed by large circular foveae.

Metasoma: T1 with medium-sized punctures on apicalmedial region. The size of punctures decreases towards the base and lateral sides. Smaller dots are present on interspaces. T2 with small equal-sized punctures except at the base where punctures decrease in diameter. T3 with slightly smaller punctures than T2. Pit row with ten large foveae ( Figure 1D View Figure 1 ). Apical margin with four sharp and stout triangular teeth ( Figure 1A, E View Figure 1 ). Median two teeth projecting in front of lateral two ( Figure 1E View Figure 1 ). S2 with large elongated dark spots placed at 2.1 x MOD distant from each other with a narrow separation from lateral margins ( Figure 1F View Figure 1 ).

Colouration: Body metallic green with golden-yellow reflections on vertex, frons, pronotum and base of terga II ( Figure 1A View Figure 1 ). The metallic blue colour on the median area of mesoscutum, tegula and basally on terga III, pit row and metasomal teeth. Scape, pedicel and F1 metallic green. Other flagellomeres are black. Tegula metallic blue with green reflections on the apex. Wings brown. Legs metallic green with black tarsi. Pit row and metasomal teeth blue in colour.
