Kolora View in CoL gen. nov.
Diagnosis. Differs from all other Australian corinnids and from Corinnomma in the very long legs ( Fig. 48a View FIGURE 48 ) and the tiny eye group ( Fig. 16e View FIGURE 16 ), and basally bulbous leg femora ( Fig. 5a View FIGURE 5 ).
Type Species: Kolora cooloola View in CoL sp. nov.
Description. Long cephalothorax with pit-like fovea ( Fig. 16e View FIGURE 16 ), deep striae, high clypeus. Lateral profile of carapace ( Fig. 2d View FIGURE 2 ): caput slopes downward in smooth arch from just behind eye group to posterior declivity; highest point just behind eye group; eyes set behind clypeus edge. Eye group small, occupies ca. 0.4 of head width ( Fig. 16e View FIGURE 16 ). Chelicerae: fang mound low with long curved setae or not evident in females; retrolateral face of moderately large chelicerae with small distinct multicusped ridge ( Fig. 2d View FIGURE 2 ), slightly less evident than in Nucastia . Very long legs ( Figs 48a View FIGURE 48 , 51c View FIGURE 51 ); male smaller, with dorsal scute albeit thin and subtle, feathery hairs on abdomen, claws enclose tufts, very long legs but tarsi not curved or distally incrassate. Pedal femora basally bulbous ( Fig. 51a View FIGURE 51 ). Male palp: tibia with raised distal edge ventrally; three lines of weak cymbial spines distally, cymbium very long; very long, tube-like bulb with very long tapering tip; long chelicerae with two to three small teeth set distally on promargin, three to five small teeth on retromargin and few granules. Feathery hairs on femora, metatarsi and abdomen; wide pedicel ventrally. RCH present. Trochanters not notched. Single line of ca. six trichobothria on tarsi. Tarsal organ a low mound with off-centre pit and trichobothrial base with 2–4 concentric ridges ( Fig. 49d View FIGURE 49 ). No scopula. Cymbium with 2–3 curved spines on tip resembling ( Figs 49c View FIGURE 49 , 52c View FIGURE 52 ). PLS ca. 1/2 diameter of ALS. Scutes: thin long narrow dorsally and ventrally in males; in females, confined to anterior face of abdomen and small tracheal scute.
Etymology. An aboriginal word for fresh water lagoon; the gender is feminine.
Included Species: Kolora cushingae sp. nov., K. cooloola sp. nov., K. lynneae sp. nov. and Corinnomma sauverubens Simon, 1896 .
Remarks. The male palp of all species of Kolora are very similar with the main differences being in the tip of the embolus and relative extent of the embolic portion; other differences are in abdominal and leg patterns, and pilosity of the carapace.
