Genus Pholetesor Mason, 1981

Type species: Apanteles ornigis Weed, 1887 .

Widely distributed small genus, with about 40 species in the World, of them c. 20 species in the Palaearctic Region, 12 in Ukraine, of which 3 species ( P. exiguus , P. laetus , P. maritimus ) were recorded for the first time for Ukraine by the author. Species of this genus parasitize in Lepidoptera caterpillars of seven families (most often Gracillariidae , Elachistidae , Coleophoridae ).
