Type material.
NIGP 208736 . An apterous specimen with antenna partly broken, right midleg and hindleg incomplete, and abdomen almost damaged .
Etymology.
The specific name derives from the Chinese words ‘ xiangrui ’ meaning the fortunate sign.
Diagnosis.
As for genus.
Description.
Holotype NIGP 208736 View Materials . Body about 3.8 mm long measured from head to deduced abdominal apex; head 1.5 mm long; pronotum 2.2 mm long at midline, 1.5 mm wide; compound eyes 0.5 mm long, 0.4 mm wide; foreleg (left): femur 2.7 mm long, tibia 2.1 mm long; midleg (left): femur 2.1 mm long, tibia 2.0 mm long; hindleg (left): femur 3.1 mm long, tibia 2.6 mm long (Fig. 1 View Figure 1 ).
Head (Fig. 2 View Figure 2 ). Head very short, with striking color pattern in dorsal view. Compound eyes prominent, close to subgenae. Antennae filiform with about 70 antennomeres preserved; scape robust, approximately 2.6 times the width and 1.5 times the length of the pedicel; scape as long as width of fastigium. Maxillary palpus elongate, five-segmented, covered with sparse long setae, last palpomere longer than other palpomeres.
Thorax (Fig. 1 View Figure 1 ). Pronotum wider than long. Mesonotum and metanotum well developed, both nearly as long as pronotum, not covered by pronotum, with sparse fine setae; marginal areas indistinctly demarcated.
Legs. Forelegs (Fig. 3 View Figure 3 ): trochanter cylindrical and relatively thick; femur very robust at basal mid length, covered with short setae and sparse long setae; tibia shorter and slenderer than femur, covered with short setae, two pairs of long setae, and two slightly curved apical spurs; tympana oval-shaped, located at basal one-third of tibia; basitarsus slender and straight, shorter than tibia, second tarsomere shortest, third tarsomere narrow basally and broad distally, and two relatively small and simple apical claws. Midleg (Fig. 4 A – D View Figure 4 ): trochanter roughly elliptical; femur slightly shorter than profemur, robust with sparse setae; tibia almost equal to femur in length, covered with several setae and one slightly curved apical spur; basitarsus shorter than tibia and much slenderer, densely covered with tiny setae; second tarsomere shorter than basitarsus and third tarsomere, third tarsomere narrow basally and broad distally with two small and simple apical claws. Hindleg (Fig. 4 E – H View Figure 4 ): trochanter cylindrical; femur slightly longer and stronger than fore and mid femora, conspicuously sturdy and covered with sparse setae; tibia shorter than femur in length, densely covered with short setae and with only one slightly curved apical spur; basitarsus slender and straight, covered with tiny setae; second tarsomere shorter than basitarsus and third one; third tarsomere narrow basally and broad distally with two simple and small apical claws.
Abdomen (Figs 1 View Figure 1 , 5 View Figure 5 ). Abdomen almost invisible. Cerci long with club-shaped and filiform setae on the inner basal part, and densely covered with long setae.
