Type material.

New Zealand: 1826, Cunningham 57 (holotype K [K 000340051!]; isotypes BR [ BR 0000005640843!], W [ W 0325222!]). Note: Three additional Cunningham specimens have been located ( BR 0000005640515!, K 000340052!, WELT. SP 079517!), which might represent original material of Melicope simplex . However, they do not contain a date.
