Material examined.
JAPAN • 1 ♂; Honshu, Hyogo Pref., Yabu, Mt. Hyounosen , mixed forest dominated by Fagus crenata and bamboo grasses; 35°21'N, 134°31'E; alt. 1200 m; 28 Sept. 1995; M. Jaschhof and T. Yagi leg., sweep-net; SDEI GoogleMaps .
Remarks.
This species is known from Europe and China ( Heller et al. 2016), and is recorded here from Japan for the first time. This species resembles T. caudata , but is distinguished from it by the condition of macrotrichia on wing membrane and the characters of the male gonostylus (see key to the Japanese species). A male of T. lengersdorfi and a male of T. caudata were collected sympatrically in this study.
