Diagnosis. Ancylosis albicosta can be distinguished by the forewing with a wide white costal band ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 6–13 ). The male genitalia are characterized by the elongate subovate uncus, the narrow lingulate gnathos about 1/3 the length of the uncus, and the narrow elongate sacculus exceeding half the length of the valva. The female genitalia are characteristic of the uniformly slender ductus bursae, the posteriorly narrow and anteriorly roundly dilated corpus bursae with cone-shaped signa scattered from posterior 1/6 to anterior 1/6 and largely concentrated in the dilated area ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 19–23 ).

Distribution. China (Ningxia, Xinjiang), Afghanistan, Iran, Libya, Mongolia, North-west Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine.

Note. Roesler (1973) reported the distribution of Ancylosis albicosta in Xinjiang, China. We collected this species in Ningxia, China.
