Presently, only a micropscope slide with an exceptional egg is available ( SMNS). Visible egg characteristics suggest this is the sister species of N. conradti . The structure of the chorion with dextrogyrous striae and deeply incised sulci with a pair of closely adjacent rows of micropunctures, minute hard-to-detect micropyles with a canal parallel to the puncture rows, and a pale ring under the irregularly punctate operculum agree. The drop-shape and the narrow anchor pole surrounded by a low ring and a constricted anchor cavity in the present taxon distinguish the two species.
