Species of the genus Halone can be recognized by the following characteristics: forewing ground color is creamy white or sordid white, with dark brown or pale brown markings or a large ochreous patch, and two dark discoidal spots or streaks; hindwing is light or pale gray (except for some Australian species with a distinct, dark terminal band); in the male genitalia, the valva has a very diverse form; the aedeagus is slender, strongly curved, with irregular cornuti; in the female genitalia, the corpus bursae is usually with a signum ( Bucsek 2012, 2014).
