Type material. CTU ( EW.013.h01, EW.013.p02).

Distribution. An Giang (Gieng islet), Dong Thap (Cao Lanh City) ( T. T. Nguyen et al. 2022b).
Remarks. This species was originally named P. thaii T. T. Nguyen, 2011 . However, it was treated as a homonym of P. thaii Blackmore, 2011 , then it was renamed and assigned to the genus Metaphire by Blakemore (2016).
