Type (lectotype, designated here):— INDONESIA. Java Island, Leschenault s.n. ( P! [ P06708709 ]).
Desfontaines (1819) cited the specimen Leschenault s.n. in P as type of Diplophractum auriculatum , specifying the presence of some specimens. Analysing the original collection in P was found only one specimen of Leschenault s.n. for the name Diplophractum auriculatum (V. Invernon, pers. comm.). Since the protologue shows the existence of more specimens in P ( Desfontaines 1819: 36), in accordance with Art. 9.3 of the ICN, is designate here the specimen P06708709 as the lectotype of Colona auriculata .
