Type (lectotype, designated here):— VIETNAM. Ninh Thuan: Phan Rang, Cana , 05 November 1925, Evrard 2494 (P! [ P06708249 ]; isolectotype K! [ K000686950 ]). VIETNAM. Ninh Thuan: Phan Rang, Cana , 13 November 1923, Poilane 8622 (syntype P! [ P06708250 ]).
Gagnepain (1943) cited the specimens Evrard 2494 and Poilane 8622 as type, without specifying the herbarium. Analysing the herbaria where original collections of Evrard and Poilane are kept, two duplicates in K and P of Evrard 2494 and one specimen in P of Poilane 8622 were found. For this reason, in accordance with Art. 9.3 of the ICN, is designate here the specimen Evrard 2494 in P as a lectotype of Colona nubla by choosing the best-preserved and complete specimen congruent with the protologue description.
