Type (lectotype, designated here):— PHILIPPINES. Mindoro Island, Bulalacao , August-September 1906, Bermejos B.S. 1536 (US! [ US01210828 ]). PHILIPPINES. Mindoro Island, 1841, Cuming 1534 (paratypes A! [ A00052303 ]; L! [ L2348861 ], [ L2348862 ]; M! [ M0210266 ]; P! [ P06708705 ]).
Burret (1926) cited the specimen Bermejos B.S. 1536 in B as type. Unfortunately, the specimen in B was destroyed during World War II (R. Vogt, pers. comm.), but one duplicate was found in the herbarium US. For this reason, in accordance with Art. 9.3 of the ICN, is designate here the specimen Bermejos B.S. 1536 in US ( US 01210828) as a lectotype of Colona subaequalis .
