Columbia lanceolata Warburg ex Perkins (1904: 107) View in CoL
≡ Colona lanceolata (Warb. ex Perkins) Burret (1926: 804) .
Type:— PHILIPPINES. Luzon Island, Warburg 13474, 13475, 13476 & 13477 (types B destroyed). Type (neotype, designated here):— PHILIPPINES. Luzon Island, Zambales, November-December 1924, Ramos & Edano s.n. ( US! [ US01210756 ]).
In the protologue, Warburg’s specimens no.13474, 13475, 13476 and 13477 in B are cited as types. Unfortunately, these specimens were destroyed in 1943 during World War II (R. Vogt, pers. comm.), without duplicates in other herbaria. Therefore, following Arts. 9.8 and 9.16 of the ICN, is designate here the specimen Ramos & Edano s.n. in US as a neotype. The type selection is based on the same geographical area as Warburg 13475 and the morphological features agree well with those described in the protologue.
