Type:— PHILIPPINES. Luzon Island, Nueva Ecija, Rosales , Warburg 13473 (type B destroyed). Type (neotype, designated here):— PHILIPPINES. Luzon Island, Ilocos Sur , August-September 1906, Klemme s.n. ( US! [ US01210763 ]).
In the protologue, the specimen Warburg 13473 in B is cited as type, was destroyed with the herbarium in 1943 during World War II (R. Vogt, pers. comm.). For this reason, in accordance with the Arts. 9.8 and 9.16 of the ICN, is designate here the specimen Klemme s.n. ( US 01210763) as a neotype of the name Colona mollis , selected based on geographical origin and morphological features congruent with the protologue.
