Type:— INDONESIA. Maluku, Aru Island, Warburg 20017 (type B destroyed). Type (neotype, designated here):— INDONESIA. Maluku, Ambon Island, 1859-1860, Vriese & Teijsmann s.n. (neotype L! [ L2348418 ], designated here) .
[= Colona scabra (Sm.) Burret (1926: 800) ]
Warburg (1891) cited in the protologue only the collection locality. However, Burret (1926: 800–801) reports the specimen Warburg 20017 in B with morphology and locality corresponding to the protologue. Unfortunately, this specimen was destroyed in 1943 during World War II (R. Vogt, pers. comm.), without duplicates in other herbaria. For these reasons, in accordance with the Arts. 9.8 and 9.16 of the ICN, is designate here the specimen Vriese & Teijsmann s.n. in L as a neotype of Columbia integrifolia , based on the geographical origin and morphological characteristics in the protologue.
