In the protologue, the specimens Cuming 1660, Cuming 1773, and Th.Lobb 442 are cited as type, without specifying the herbarium. Analysing the original collections, five duplicates of Cuming 1660 were found in L, LECB and P, while no duplicates of Cuming 1773 and Th.Lobb 442 were found. Therefore, in accordance with Art. 9.3 of the ICN, is designate here the specimen Cuming 1660 in P (P06708621) as a lectotype of Colona inaequilatera , by choosing the best-preserved and complete specimen.
