Columbia hastata Warburg ex Perkins (1904: 105) .
Type:— PHILIPPINES. Luzon Island, Zambales, Balincaguin River and Cabangan , Warburg 13470 & 13471 (type B destroyed). Type (neotype, designated here):— PHILIPPINES. Luzon Island, Bataan, August 1914, Diaz & Alambra s.n. (L! [ L2348441 ]) .
[= Colona longipetiolata Merrill (1903: 16) ]
Perkins (1904) cited the specimens Warburg 13470 and Warburg 13471 in B as type of Columbia hastata . Unfortunately, the type specimens were destroyed in 1943 during World War II (R. Vogt, pers. comm.), without duplicates in other herbaria. For this reason, in accordance with Arts. 9.8 and 9.16 of the ICN, is designate here the specimen Diaz & Alambra s.n. in L as a neotype. It was selected based on the geographical origin and morphological features described in the protologue.
