Type (lectotype, designated here):— MYANMAR. “ Hort. Calc. in Burmah ”, Wallich 7841 (K! [ K001128073 ]). MYANMAR. Ava , 1826, Wallich 1154 (syntype K! [ K001112245 ]).
Kurz (1873) cited the specimens Wallich 1154 and Wallich 7841 as types of Columbia floribunda , without specifying the herbarium. Analysing the herbaria where the original Wallich collection is kept ( Stafleu & Cowan 1976 –1988: 37), were found one specimen of Wallich 1154 and one specimen of Wallich 7841 in K, without duplicates in other herbaria. For this reason, in accordance with Art. 9.3 of the ICN, is designated here the specimen Wallich 7841 (K001128073) as a lectotype of Colona floribunda .
