Perennial herbaceous plant, base woody, height 5–20 cm, prostrate, stem with few hairs mostly downward; Stem leaves ovate, length 4–14 mm, width 2–7 mm, ratio length to width 2, petiole length 0.5–2 mm; Inflorescence-leaf length 4–9 mm, width 1.5–5 mm; Bract length 4–7 mm, width 2–5 mm; Pedicel length 0.5–1 mm; calyx length 5–9 mm, length of calyx upper lip 1.2–2 mm, width of calyx middle lobe of lower lip 1–5.3 mm, often sparsely hairy without secretory glands.
