Description of Peribacillus huizhouensis SBCC-2316
Cells are Gram-staining positive and rod-shaped with flagella. Colonies are cream, circular to irregular, flat, smooth and glistening after 3 days of incubation on MA at 25℃. Positive for urease activity, esculin hydrolysis, and β -galactosidase activity. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, and gelatinase activity. Utilize D-glucose, D-mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, and trisodium citrate. Does not utilize L-arabinose, D-mannose, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, and phenylacetic acid. Strain SBCC-2316 ( NI- BRBAC000510512 ) was isolated from tidal flat of Taean Chungchungnam-do , Korea (36°53 ʹ 17 ʺ N 126°19 ʹ 39 ʺ E) GoogleMaps .
