= Gauzania Walker, [1866] 1865: 1208 (TS: Gauzania mundalis Walker, [1866] 1865: 1208) Gauzania is a junior homonym of Gauzania Walker, [1856] 1857: 130 ( Diptera ). There is no objective replacement name but G. mundalis is congeneric with Daona mansueta Walker, 1864 , the type species of Daona Walker, 1864 . The latter is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name ( Nye 1975).
