Diagnostic description.

T 1 parallel-sided but broad, its length medially 2.0 × its width at posterior margin; T 1 shiny and almost entirely smooth (at most with few shallow punctures along lateral margins on posterior 0.3); T 2 transverse and comparatively narrow, its width at posterior margin 2.6–3.0 × its length medially; T 2 smooth; ovipositor sheaths 1.1–1.2 × metatibia length; all coxae black; metafemur mostly yellow-brown with brown spot on apical 0.2 dorsally; metatibia mostly yellow-brown with posterior 0.2–0.3 brown; body length: 2.84–3.31 mm; fore wing length: 3.13–3.41 mm. Among all species with T 2 smooth and dark coxae D. ronaldzunigai can be distinguished by its entirely smooth, parallel-sided T 1 and overall polished aspect of the species, as well as legs color. The species could also be confused with the carlosmanuelrodriguezi group based on its overall sculptured and shape of T 1 and T 2; however, its ovipositor sheaths are much shorter than in that species group (1.1–1.2 × versus 1.8–2.0 ×) and T 2 is much less quadrate.
