Type locality

Mines de la Canal [original citation: “« Minas de Canal », situées dans la sierra de San Gervas , distr. mun. de Llastarri, partido de Tremp, provincia de Lérida (Catalogne)”] .

Type material

Syntypes: MZB 78-2580 (1 ♂), type loc., 18-VI-1911, R. Jeannel & E. G. Racovitza leg. (ex coll. R. Zariquiey).

Remarks

Type series consisting of three specimens originally deposited in the Biospeologica collection ( Jeannel, 1911a, 1924a). The specimen in the MCNB has hand-written capture labels, a white label with the inscription “ TYPE ” hand-written in red letters, a red label with the printed inscription “ Typus ”, and a determination label hand-written by Jeannel. We have located the two specimens that complete the type series in the MNHNP’s general collection (box 69). Both have identical collection labels, as well as labels with the inscription “ TYPE ” (printed in black on a red label on one, and printed in red on a white label on the other).
