Type locality

Cova Bora Major [original citation: “Cova de Vora Major, en la montaña de Santa Magdalena , cerca del pueblo de Terrades, partido de Figueras, provincia de Gerona”].

Type material

Syntypes: MZB 78-2242 (1 ♂, 1 ♀), MZB 78-2549 / MZB 78-2551 (5 ♂♂, 2 ♀♀), type loc., VIII-1917, R. Zariquiey & A. Guimjuan leg. (ex coll. R. Zariquiey).

Remarks

Type series consisting of 35 specimens ( Zariquiey, 1919); however, the author neither designates a holotype nor indicates where the material is deposited. All of the specimens found in the MCNB collection have red labels printed with the inscription “Typus”, the only exceptions being two specimens ( MZB 78-2242 ) with red hand-written labels with the inscription “COTIPO”. These latter two specimens have no collection labels, just an additional identification label, being regarded for the time as part of the type series. In the MNCNM collection (box 17) we have found a long series of specimens from the type locality, of which at least one has an identical collection label to the specimens in the MCNB collection (including the same date, August 1917). None of the above-mentioned specimens are identified as belonging to the type series .
