Type locality

Cova Negra de Corçà [original citation: “Lerida: cova negra de Corsá, au sud du Montsech de Ager, termino mun. de Ager ...”] .

Type material

Syntypes: MZB 70-0941 / MZB 70-0948, MZB 78-2559 / MZB 78-2579 (48 ♂♂, 76 ♀♀), type loc., R. Zariquiey leg. (ex coll. R. Zariquiey) .

Remarks

Type series consisting of numerous specimens (with no more details) deposited originally in Zariquiey’s collection and in the Biospeologica collection ( Jeannel, 1924a). Most of the specimens deposited in the MCNB collection have red labels with the printed inscription “Cotypus” or “ Typus ”. The two labels with collection data are identical throughout the whole series, January 1924 being given as a capture date for most of the series. Three specimens ( MZB 70-0945 ) are separate and have been re-labelled by hand by O. Escolà. In the MNHNP general collection (box 69) we have found at least five specimens from the type series (one with the inscription “ TYPE ” printed in black letters on a red label, and the rest with the same inscription printed in red characters on white labels). In the MNCNM collection (box 17) there is a long series of specimens with collection labels that are identical to the specimens in the MCNB, although none of them have labels that identify them as belonging to the type series .
