Type locality

Avenc dels Pinyerets [original citation: “Prov. de Tarragona: avenc de Pinyarets, term. municipal de Montmell part. Judicial de Vendrell”].

Type material

Syntypes: MZB 71-2401 / MZB 71-2403 (3 ♂♂, 1 ♀), type loc., 26-VIII-1934, F. Español leg. (ex coll. R. Zariquiey).

Remarks

Zariquiey (1950) did not establish a holotype, merely indicating that the “Tipos” were deposited in his collection (he then refers to six specimens from the type locality). In the MCNB collection we have found three males and a female. The collection dates on their labels and the hand-writing (mostly in the hand of F. Español), as well as their original deposit in Zariquiey’s collection, nevertheless, indicates that they belong to the type series. Escolà (1969) refers to three of these specimens.
